As we enter November next week there have been many events and important themes covered over the course of this week. Details below;

Show racism the red card – We have worked to raise awareness of this important work in line with Black History Month. Thanks to Mr Moffat and all who helped pull this together with important messages linked to our values of Respect and Diversity…..noted below in our plan for the day each period.

Uniform – Pupils are looking smart and ready to work in the morning which is positive. Please maintain this as we progress into the winter.

Ties – Following many orders, our School ties are now available for purchase on ParentPay at the price of £6.80. If you have previously ordered a tie, please come to the School Office to collect.

S4,5,6 Parents’ Eve – Date reminder of 30th Nov for Anderson and Barton Houses. See email from the School with specific details. Any questions just ask on Admin@leith.edin.sch.uk

The date for Cowan and Port Houses is 12th Nov, details to follow.

Careers Fayre – We will hold our annual careers fayre for S4/5/6 on Tuesday 29th October in the games hall Periods 1 and 2.

Maths UK competition success – The results of the UK Mathematical Girls Olympiad are now in, and are as follows:

Youth Philanthropy Initiative – As part of our annual YPI program, we invite several charities for a speed date session where our S3’s ask them questions to help them decide which charity the youngsters want to represent as they aim to raise awareness with the wider school and win £3000 for their chosen charity.
