Our first full week is complete and it has been busy, positive and hopefully settling for our new S1 as they become more familiar with the building, the routes and the learning in different areas.
Pupils are arriving for School in positive Leith uniform ready to learn. Please ensure youngsters have their bags with the items they need for the day. If you need support with any aspects such as uniform, school bags, equipment – speak to your House Head or Key Adult who will help.

Parent Council meeting – as mentioned in previous updates, our first Parent Council meeting is this Thursday at 7pm in the School. If you have any questions linked to Parent Council simply email LeithParentCouncil@gmail.com
School Photos – We held our annual School photos for certain year groups. Simply follow the instructions on the pack your child brought home to order what you would like.
S1 iPads – Families will see we are moving on issuing iPads, this process has began this week and will continue into next week. Families please ensure that all iPads are charged each night and carefully looked after in order to support learning in the classroom. Many aspects of our lessons are now facilitated by tech / iPads so it is important our pupils are prepared.
Flu vaccines – The NHS will offer a flu vaccine to those who consent. Flu vaccination consent forms will be sent home this weekend. Vaccines will take place on Tuesday the 18th of November. Could forms be completed and returned to the medical room no later than Friday 29th of August.
Trip – Our Geography field trip group were out in the City researching some aspects linked to their coursework, bringing learning to life.
Trip – Our Musical youngsters were out at the Usher Hall today having a very positive experience in a wonderful musical venue.
Sports Club Fayre – Today all pupils had the chance to see the clubs on offer and sign up for the new year. Take a look at what we have on here and discuss with your child what they would like to try or get involved in!
