As we enter fireworks weekend I hope you can enjoy any events in a safe and positive way with Families and Friends. Some points below;

Cashless Cafeteria – The Council have told all cafeteria teams that they are to no longer accept cash. This is to ensure there is an audit trail available for the Authority to refer to for all Schools. Families should use ParentPay to top up their account for their child to buy items from our School café at break and lunch. Our office team can help with setting up ParentPay.

Class Charts – Parents should sign up for the Class Charts app to allow you to see the positive feedback your child recieves each day. For help with setting up, email Admin@leith.edin.sch.uk

S4,5,6 Parents’ Eve – We have our S4,5,6 evening for Cowan and Port on Thursday this week, 12th Nov. Booking details will be sent to Families directly.

Raising Teens Parent Course – We are running a course at Leith Academy, if interested see details below;

Teen Triple P group at Leith Academy again

 Day: Wednesday

 Dates:  3 February to 31 March

 Time:  6.00-8.00pm

S4,5,6 Revision – See poster info regarding an online resource to help S4,5,6 with revision prep prelims and pre exams in Spring 2027.

Poppy Scotland – As we enter the week of remembering next week, we have had several trips to the Edinburgh Poppy Factory. This allows young people to understand the Poppy movement and also take time to reflect on other ongoing challenges and conflicts we face in society. All pupils were mature and reflective on their visits.

International success! – Congratulations to the three members of our Leith Academy community who represented Scotland at the European Majorettes Championship in Turin last week. Scotland placed 10th overall in Europe against some formidable competition and the team are rightly proud their achievements. A superb achievement!

Have a good weekend.
