Welcome back as we enter 2025 at Leith Academy with a busy few weeks / months on the horizon.
Some key points below;
S4,5,6 Prelims begin – Our assessments in the exam hall begin next week. Ms Watson has emailed all relevant info to Seniors and Staff and our young adults should be well into their revision / study plans as we build towards the SQA National Assessments after Easter.
We have a wide range of study support sessions on offer, we are updating our timetable for latest info but our current offer is on the website here Supported Study Schedule – and pupils should speak to staff for support as needed.
Vaccination booster S3-6 – The consent forms were handed out before the Xmas break, and we have been asked by the NHS vaccination team that the final date for handing these back be the 3rd of Feb.
This vaccine is the teenage booster jag, for pupils S3 and above and take place on 20 March 2025.
S2 into S3 Information Session & Careers Fayre – Yesterday afternoon we held an S2 Careers fayre with several local and national employers which was a great success and inspired many of our pupils. Thanks to Parents who contributed to this by coming in and setting up a stall.
In the evening we had our Information session to help Families navigate the course choice process from S2 into S3. The presentation is on our website here Pupil Choice Sheets / Info –
