As we enter the final week of the term and 2025 at School, see below some updates and key points of information.

Leith Giveaway – this was a great success last week as we supported many families. The planning, leading and co-ordinating was no easy task, thank you to Rona Sutherland and everyone who helped make it a success and most importantly a support for many in our community.

Prelims – our S4,5,6 prelim assessments are now complete. It is important for pupils to get their marks back and take on board feedback of what has gone well and what needs to be focussed on. The S4,5,6 2nd Tracking Report will go to Families when we return in January and this will give Parents information on how their child is progressing.

Next Friday – We break for Christmas next week, as per previous years, we will go to South Leith Parish Church, where Leith Academy was formed in 1560, to mark the end of the year. Pupils will be dismissed from Church at approx. 12 midday. Children who are entitled to free school meals can collect a packed lunch at break time if they want one. If you have any questions linked to this please email Admin@leith.edin.sch.uk

We have a busy week next week with our Christmas Shows and our YPI Final. Get tickets for the show early to avoid disappointment.

Congratulations – Well done to Cayden Fleury who won the Edinburgh Schools U14 Table Tennis Championship last week, a great achievement!

Have a good weekend.
