We have 2 weeks to go until the Easter break with performances, assessments and revision dominating the landscape. Today we also had our P7 Maths Teams come to Leith Academy for a superb Magic Maths Morning, more on that next week.

Stakeholder update
Mobile phones – We are progressing plans where mobile phones will be banned during lessons to protect learning for children. Ipads are provided by School and should be brought in charged and ready to be used. Details will follow after Easter, but speaking to your child about this change now will help us move into this position alongside other schools.
Easter Revision – A letter has been sent to S4,5,6 Families from Ms Watson with all the relevant details of how pupils can sign up. This is free to all and will make a difference as our youngsters prepare / revise for their national assessments.
Exam Leave – A letter has been sent to all Families from Ms Watson linked to the Council guidelines on exam leave. Any questions just email us and we will help, Admin@leith.edin.sch.uk
Register to vote – We are speaking to all youngsters to encourage them to register to vote, especially those in S4,5,6 and 16yrs or older. Please discuss this at home as we approach the election period.
SPOTY 2026 – Our Sports Personality of the Year was a great success last night with celebration and powerful speeches from young athletes. Well done to all involved.

…..Ella Cameron Lynch who won bronze at the British Judo Championships, a superb achievement at national level.
……Our Career Ready Graduates, Liam and Minati following a program of work experience and internship with City based companies. Liam did his internship at The Hoxton, and Minati at Cannon Medical group, who specialise in medical imaging. Great work.
…….Leith Netball – Our S2 and Senior netball teams both had fixtures against Currie last night for the Scottish Cup and we came away with a double win! S2s won 20-10 and Seniors won 20-17. Well done all!
