Assessment window – This begins next week, thank you for the setting up from staff, the encouragement from home and to Ms Watson for leading us through this important phase. We wish all youngsters well, the assessments present an opportunity to sit the papers and take stock of what is going well and what needs improved. Learners must be in school uniform to sit their paper, if you have any questions please check the guidance emails that have been sent out and email admin@leith.edin.sch.uk if required.
Parent Council – We met as a Parent Council on Thursday evening to discuss recent updates and plans to support School depts with contributions towards materials and thoughts for the Christmas Show raffle. As ever it was a great opportunity to come together and discuss aspects together as a group. Next meeting is in January 2024 and thanks as ever for the Parental support we receive.
Saroj Lal – This is an award that recognises work linked to equality and diversity. We are delighted that Lily Schiller-Chatwood won the Proud to be me competition for a piece of writing they submitted. Lily is a leader in this area across our school and we are delighted they were recognised for this work. Conference for Parents – Please see attached a conference for Parents which we have been asked to share by the Council. Details contained within.
Family Craft Event for S1 Parents – Thursday 7th December 5.30-6.30pm – We are holding a family craft event for S1 parents, to support our Leith Community during the Christmas period.
Come along and design your own coasters and watch them being created in our laser printer. Create some amazing stocking fillers and meet other S1 Parents.
