UPDATE FOR STAKEHOLDERS OF LEITH ACADEMY 3 APRIL 2020
This is a follow on message from yesterday’s briefing. As we officially enter the Easter break it will not have the usual interactions we associate with the beginning of Summer.
SQA
As mentioned yesterday we were awaiting a statement from the Scottish Qualifications Authority. This came yesterday evening. The full statement is on their website www.sqa.org.uk . City of Edinburgh Council have also prepared a letter to go to all parents. This is attached (above / top of this statement).
You will read there are some more details to be established in what is an extremely complicated picture across Scotland. As we get more I will share this with parents and pupils in S4,5,6.
Into Film Activity
There are many organisations stepping up to provide activities online for pupils and families to engage in. We will mostly share these on our twitter feed @leithacademy which is available on our website.
As an example to share, Into Film have a social media writing competition here https://www.intofilm.org/news-and-views/articles/review-100-competition which may be of interest to your youngsters.
As we know, Easter will not be the same, nor will the Summer term it seems. Please take care, follow the guidance and keep in touch with others where you can.
