Another busy week with some key updates below for Families;
Mobile phones – In line with the National guidance from Scottish Govt and other Schools across the city and the country, we are planning steps to move to ‘phone free lessons’ to ensure we can protect the learning and teaching of our youngsters whilst in classes. Details will follow over the coming weeks. For now, our current policy remains, where phones should be out of sight unless you are asked by your teacher to use it to support learning. As ever, it is important iPads are charged and ready to use for learning every day. Please continue to have positive / supportive conversations at home with your family / child around appropriate device use.
S6 Prom – Our S6 Team are continuing with plans towards the June event at the Scotsman Hotel. Parent pay deadline is 20th March if current S6 wish to attend. Please ensure payment is made to allow us to proceed to the next stage with the venue.
S6 Yearbook – Details are being finalised by the Yb team. The payment of £20 is now required to secure your copy for S6 leavers. Please ensure this is paid by the end of Feb deadline so we can proceed with the print company to have the books ready for Easter issue.
Sports Personality of the Year 2026 SPOTY – The PE department will be hosting the annual SPOTY awards evening soon to celebrate all of the fantastic sporting success from pupils across the school. To do this, we would like to know about your most up-to-date sporting achievements from this year. Ireland poets – Following a successful trip last week, Evan Rae, Josephine Fraser and Aditri Chatterjee had a wonderful experience on their trip to Dublin which was highlighted by each of them reading their own poem at a prestigious Burns Supper. Well done to all and to Ms Mathers for organising with an example below.

Netball result – A great performance and result for our Netball team v Portobello this week with a 20-1 victory.
