P7 into S1 – A very positive evening with brilliant interactive examples in our faculties and depts. Thanks to those who contributed! Parent’s have been in contact;
“I just wanted to drop and email on behalf of myself and partner to thank Mr Irving, all the staff and the prefects for showing us around Leith Academy yesterday. We got a really great feel for the school, the facilities and opportunities, and the prefects who took our group were a credit to the school.”
Our presentation will be on our website in due course and sent to Primary Schools for info / sharing.
Well Being Walk – Our event a few weeks ago raised a positive amount to support mental health initiatives, see attached and message from SAMH, link here SAMH . We received a letter of thanks and copy of the donation certificate attached.

Netball Interhouse – A great competition, results towards the master scoreboard are;
1st Barton Joint 2nd Cowan / Port 3rd Anderson
Scottish Cup Basketball – A great result in the Scottish Cup for Senior Boys beating Boroughmuir 73 v 62. A great game played in front of a great crowd!
International success – Congratulations to Rhys Berry, who got back from Germany after competing in the World Kickboxing Championships, he was competing against world class athletes and had a great learning experience. He is now training for next year, based in Abu Dhabi. Well done Rhys!
