Poppy Factory visit – As we approach an important time of reflection for the School and community, we held our annual visit to the Poppy Factory. Our S6 Prefects are working up a diverse and multi cultural plan of remembrance that we will use on Monday as we pause for reflection at 11am.
Chess Comp – We held our first Inter House Chess competition this week, see below an update from Phil and Joe who led this…
Joe and I had a great day supporting the chess players on our competition day. We had a great turn out and it’s definitely something we’d like to do each term. It was great to see everyone from S2 to S6 playing together and we have a lot of fantastic players to celebrate.
Thanks to all the staff who also supported throughout the day. Joe will update on the House points which were…..1st Anderson, 2nd Barton, 3rd Port and 4th Cowan.
Well done to all!
Supporting Families during the winter – As in previous years, we are hoping to hold a Christmas Give away for Families in our community on the afternoon of Friday December 6th. PARENTS / FAMILIES – If you have any of the following, and are able to donate, if you do please you hand them in to our front office. We need all donations to come in asap, any help will make a great difference to those who need support. What we need:
- Preloved (and in good condition) toys and children’s books
- Christmas cards, wrapping and bags etc
- Selection packs, sweets, biscuits…
- Toiletries/gift boxes
- Anything that could be re-gifted, to take the pressure off our families at this tough time of year
We are keen to also put together some hampers of nice things so, anything you can spare will be really appreciated.
Thanks in advance – Ms Rona Sutherland.
Hoping you have a great weekend.
