After a long weekend and a shorter week we were back into assessments and other activities to support our young people at Leith Academy.

Some updates and key points;

An assembly with some basic / simple points was delivered by Mr Irving to all classes on Wednesday morning during key adult at 8.30am. See the link here for info https://clickv.ie/w/fR01

Build Your Future – We had some engaging sessions this week involving roofing, including solar panel fitting, construction, plastering and joinery. These were sessions led by experts and help our youngsters consider possible careers in this area.

Drama S6 show – Our S6 National Progression Award class put on an awards show featuring some super performances that will inspire future years in this area. Great work from the team who led on this and some outstanding quality on show.

VE Day – Our Social Studies Faculty held a celebration for on Thursday lunchtime to mark this national occasion / moment. It also featured through lessons and themes across the week.

Spring Fling is now Summer Fling – Due to unforeseen circumstances we have had to edit our date for this performance. See update below;

Save The Date – Summer Fling – This year our usual end of year music concert will be performed on the 10th of June instead of the 21st of May. We are excited to share with you the work of our young musicians. More information on the event and where you can purchase tickets to follow later this month. It’s shaping up to be a night to remember!
