We wish all of our Senior S4,5,6 Pupils the very best tomorrow when they receive their results. We are unable to recollect a time when it has been under these circumstances.
As ever, there will be positives and aspects to look at on our return to School for pupils next week. Below are some links and steps you can take once you receive your results;
-Staff are still on holiday until Monday of next week. If you have any concerns or questions about your SQA results please email them to Admin@leith.edin.sch.uk and we will pass the information you provide to the relevant person for their attention upon return
-Our Careers Advisors from Skills Development Scotland open their helplines on Tuesday for questions about your results and your possible next steps https://www.skillsdevelopmentscotland.co.uk/news-events/2020/july/results-helpline-offering-support-across-scotland/
-The SQA helpline is available if you have any questions about your results. SQA’s Candidate Advice Line can be reached on 0345 279 1000, and runs from 8am – 6pm on Tuesday 4 August, and from 8.30am – 5pm Wednesday 5, Thursday 6, and Friday 7 August. More information is available at www.sqa.org.uk/results.
-If your next step plan is University the UCAS website provides support for questions here https://www.ucas.com/ and also via their twitter feed @ucas_online
-If you are planning Edinburgh College as your next step and have questions for them visit their site here http://www.edinburghcollege.ac.uk/newsandevents/clearing-event-2020/ for support and information
-Monday and Tuesday of next week are significant planning days for Teaching staff as we prepare for the re-opening. From Wednesday we will have plans in place in line with infection control where recoursing options can be discussed with key members of staff. As before, emailing questions linked to this in advance is helpful.
We will do all we can to support all of our young adults safely whether it is linked to their next step beyond the school gates or to their next year at Leith Academy.
Thank you, Leith Academy
