A busy week with some great events on including Choir Singing at our local Care Home, Inter House Swim Gala and Inter House Table Tennis for House points. Our Advanced Highers Drama performance to Friends and Family and a Parental engagement session using 3D Printers and Laser Cutters!

Next week coming is busy with many things on, some key points below to help;

Christmas theme day – On Tuesday youngsters can arrive in School with a jumper or item of clothing that reflects the time of year, bring a cash donation if you are able, which will go towards charitable support. This should be on top of our normal uniform;

-Black footwear

Christmas Lunch – Our fantastic Kitchen team will put on a Christmas Lunch for the School on Tuesday 19th, see details below;

Leith Academy Christmas Card – See attached our fantastic card for 2024 which is sent by Mr Irving across the City as we wish our Families, Friends and Partners a Merry Christmas. Thanks to the Art team and Modern Languages Team for this work and to the winners of the main designs, well done!

Next Friday – As per every year, we will have our Christmas service at South Leith Parish Church, the site where Leith Academy began in 1560. As ever this is a special day on our calendar. Our youngsters should be in excellent uniform and will be accompanied by staff to the Church. When the service ends around 12 midday we will dismiss from Church for the festive holiday. Staff start back on January 8th with learners starting back on January 9th for an 8.30am start.
