Thank you to all who have helped us through our first full week.

All our stakeholders have responded as well as possible to the challenging situation. I spoke with all pupils today through Microsoft Teams and thanked them for their maturity in how they handled this week. This maturity will need to continue as we enter the weeks and months ahead. These are not easy times we find ourselves in, but our pupils were clearly working hard to help us all adjust to the new way of working – they did well.

We will continue to monitor Govt and Council advice and keep you informed from a Leith perspective when needed. Some key points below;

Symptoms

Thank you for your vigilance with your family regarding symptoms. Keep youngsters off school if they have any of the main symptoms, let us know in School by phone or email and book a test through https://www.nhsinform.scot/campaigns/test-and-protect

Cashless School

The pin numbers for pupils to access their ParentPay accounts are now in and should be with you / your child. Use ParentPay to place money on your child’s account which they can use if needed in the canteen. Our menu is beginning to develop over the next week as we adjust.

Class steps

We continue to take these steps in every lesson to help with our infection control. The pupils have worked well with these steps;

-Hand san on entry to class

-2m distance where possible

-Use of covering welcomed

-Use of spray and wipes after classes

These steps continue to help us. Thank you for supporting them.

This week was the second of many hurdles, but to get a full week completed is a milestone and only possible with our pupils, staff, families working together.

Have a good weekend.
