As we roll through February at pace, some updates below to help all;

S3 into Senior Phase Parent info session – Great attendance and questions at our info evening for Parents. All relevant info to help with course choice can be found on our website here Pupil Choice Sheets / Info – (leithacademy.uk) .

Industrial Action – We have a disrupted week next week via strike action. Please see a letter attached from Lorna French, Head of Schools. We continue to be hopeful that this matter is resolved with Scot Govt as soon as possible.

Purple Friday – A strong showing of purple across the School today to raise awareness for LGBTQ+ rights and support, as always we value Diversty through our rich Leith community.

Parent views – I’m always very proud and inspired by the daily work we do in our Teams for the young people of Leith, especially post pandemic and currently through really challenging cost of living times; to help me with this, please complete the questionnaire to help us plan even further improvements!

Parents – https://forms.office.com/r/c7n9kdXJMj

We will also be asking Pupils and Staff over the coming weeks through the help of our Teams, the more info / views we get the better!

Date for S3 Parents – Our S3 Parents’ Eve is on the 8th March and is in person. Details will be emailed via Mr Stewart and our School Office. If you have any questions please contact us on Admin@leith.edin.sch.uk .

Rugby call up – Congratulations so Megan Shaw (S4) who has been called up to East of Scotland Rugby Squad on Sunday for her first game! Megan has been part of Leith Vixens for 8 years and volunteers with younger pupils aged p1- p7 within the Leith area. GOOD LUCK MEGAN!
