We once again arrive at the Friday of another week. Today I have also provided my update in the form of a face to face video to at least have some sort of ‘normalised’ contact with our pupils and families. Click here https://clickv.ie/w/WMbn

The key points for today;

New Learning

We have made the move to our new learning on a step by step basis. Teachers are grouping their new classes together and are beginning to make contact through a variety of platforms. Pupils should check their school email account for updates. Pupils should know how to log on, but if you need support with this you can find it on our website here https://leithacademy.uk/pupils/pupil-online-resources/ under the heading Office 365 Education for Students

Our website continues to be updated with material to help provide some home learning opportunities, by subject and year group here https://leithacademy.uk/pupils/pupil-online-resources/ .

If you have questions about new learning / logging on please contact Admin@Leith.edin.sch.uk and we will do what we can to help.

Parent Council

I met with our Chair and Vice Chair of the Parent Council this week, more just to touch base and keep ourselves updated. We speak regularly by email but it was good to use video call to meet. Laura Brown (Chair) keeps parents updated via email, if you would like to have you address added please email leithparentcouncil@gmail.com and they will add you to the mailing list.

Monday

Monday is the Edinburgh Victoria Day holiday. Though certainly not the same, do try to take some time away from home learning and resume on Tuesday. Be sure to take your authorised outdoor activity!

Our Leavers

Every year we have pupils who move on to their next chapter in life and leave Leith Academy. If you are an S6 leaver or an S4, S5 leaver please complete this form urgently https://forms.office.com/Pages/ResponsePage.aspx?id=af6sSGo3tUKfacnke7-5xLDDPZaMxwBFt4NQAq7KvDJUNjdGQU5SQjkwTko4UkxDMkYyRkZPR0gzNS4u

to help us plan our support for those pupils still at Leith Academy. Thank you in advance.
